ENTRANCE HALL Step through the huge oak front doors into the grand entrance of Hogwarts Castle. The Great Hall is to your right, corridors to your left, and straight ahead, the marble staircase leading to the higher floors. The giant House Point hourglasses are kept here, too, up on the wall beside the door, so be sure to keep an eye on yours, if you have any desire of helping your house win the cup this year. |

THE GREAT HALL The great hall, home to the house tables, and venue of wonderful occasions such as the Yule Ball, the Start of Term Feast, and the great Sorting Ceremony. The ceiling is quite a thing to behold, enchanted to mimic the weather outside, it's absolutely fascinating, just don't stare at it too long or your food will go cold! |
